PRIVACY POLICY

Your data, clearly explained.

How Fyield LTD handles information across fyield.xyz, our contact form and the access-controlled Fyield portal.

Last updated 23 October 2026Applies to Website, enquiries & portal
01 / CHOICE

Different services, different data.

The public contact form asks for business contact details. Programme records are entered through authorised processes for a defined purpose; consent is recorded when provided.

02 / ACCESS

Programme records stay controlled.

Participant profiles, documents and verification history are held in an access-controlled portal, not on the public website.

03 / REQUESTS

You can ask about your data.

Contact us to request access, correction, deletion or an explanation of how information is used and retained.

01 / SCOPE

Who this policy covers

Fyield LTD operates the public website at fyield.xyz and the Fyield portal at app.fyield.xyz. This policy explains how we handle information about website visitors, people who contact us, programme participants, partner contacts and people given portal accounts.

The public website and the portal collect different kinds of information. A public enquiry does not create a participant profile. Where a partner runs a programme with us, the specific programme notice or agreement may give further details about roles, permissions and uses of data.

02 / INFORMATION

What information we handle

PUBLIC WEBSITE

Contact enquiries

When you use the form, you provide your name, organisation, email address, optional phone number, partnership interest and message. The contact service also records a submission reference, time, IP address and browser information to receive the enquiry, prevent duplicates and protect against misuse.

ACCESS-CONTROLLED PORTAL

Accounts & activity

For authorised users, we handle name, email, role, account status, password hash, session and security information, and an audit history of actions. We may hold partner contact and staff or cohort information needed to administer a programme.

PROGRAMME RECORDS

Participants & evidence

Depending on the programme, records may include contact details, date of birth, gender, address or location, occupation, cohort, business or farm information, observations, performance measures, notes and verification history. Authorised portal users may enter information obtained from participants and programme activity.

PRIVATE DOCUMENTS

Supporting material

Where needed and authorised, the portal can hold photos, identity, financial, consent or agreement documents and related metadata. These files belong in the private portal process. Please do not send them through the public contact form or ordinary email unless we have given you a suitable secure route.

Our hosting provider may also create normal server logs when a page or service is accessed. A light or dark display preference is saved in your browser as described below.

03 / PURPOSE

Why we use information

  • Respond to you. We use enquiry details to review a request, reply and keep a record of the conversation. We rely on our legitimate interest in responding to the request you chose to send.
  • Run the portal safely. We use account and technical records to control access, secure sessions, prevent abuse, support users and maintain an audit trail. We rely on our legitimate interest in secure service operation and, where an account is part of a service agreement, the need to perform that agreement.
  • Build and verify programme evidence. We organise participant and business information, observations, documents and verification history for a defined programme purpose. Each programme must identify its lawful basis before collection; this may be consent or another basis permitted by law and explained in the programme notice. Where consent is the basis, the portal can record it. Sensitive information needs additional safeguards and explicit consent where the law requires it.
  • Meet legal duties. We may retain or disclose information when a valid legal obligation applies.
About profiles and lending

Fyield can organise information over time to give a fuller view of activity and capability. Fyield does not currently issue official credit scores, make lending decisions or run solely automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects. If an institution uses information shared through an authorised arrangement, that institution makes its own decision. You can ask us to review an error in information held by Fyield.

04 / ACCESS

Who may access it

Access to portal records is limited by user roles. Authorised Fyield personnel may review records for their work. The portal can export records for authorised users and logs those actions; it does not give every partner automatic access to all participant data.

We use Hostinger to host the website, portal, database and private uploads, and a configured email service for enquiry notifications and account messages. Those providers process information needed to deliver their services. A programme may involve sharing with a partner or institution under its own arrangement; ask us which recipients and permissions apply to your record. We may also disclose information where law requires it. We do not publish participant records on the public website.

Provider infrastructure or email delivery may involve processing outside Nigeria. Contact us for details of the current processing location and safeguards relevant to your information. Following an external link, such as GitHub, takes you to a service governed by its own privacy terms.

05 / RETENTION & SECURITY

How long we keep it

We keep an enquiry while it is needed to respond, follow up and manage the relationship or a legal matter. Session cookies expire automatically, but account and activity records may remain after access ends for security, audit and justified recordkeeping needs. Programme records may remain after a participant or cohort is archived so that past observations, consent, verification and audit history can still be explained.

Our systems do not currently apply one automatic deletion date to all enquiries or historical programme records. If you ask us to delete information, we will review the request and explain what we can remove and what must be retained for legal, security, consent, verification or other justified recordkeeping reasons. Deleting a portal profile leaves a historical audit record, which may include details from before deletion.

We use HTTPS, role-based access, private document storage and activity logs to help protect information. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Please report a suspected privacy or security issue to the contact below.

06 / BROWSER DATA

Cookies & preferences

The public website does not include advertising trackers, third-party analytics or externally hosted fonts. It does not require a sign-in cookie. If you choose a light or dark theme, the choice is saved in your browser and is not sent to Fyield; clear site data to remove it.

The portal uses cookies needed for signed-in sessions and request protection. It also saves an appearance preference in browser storage. Hostinger may keep normal server logs. Your browser settings can clear stored preferences and cookies, but blocking necessary portal cookies may prevent sign-in.

07 / YOUR RIGHTS

Your choices & rights

Depending on the law and the information involved, you may ask to access or correct your data, request deletion or restriction, object to a use, withdraw consent, or request a portable copy. Withdrawing consent does not undo processing that was lawful before withdrawal, and some records may need to be kept for the reasons explained above.

Email alfredrick@fyield.xyz with enough detail to help us locate the relevant record. Please do not attach identity or financial documents in your first email. We may need to verify your identity before disclosing or changing a record. If you are dissatisfied with our response, you may complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (opens in a new tab).

08 / UPDATES

Changes to this policy

We will update this page when our services or data practices change and revise the date at the top. If a change materially affects information already collected, we will provide an appropriate additional notice where required.
